Lighthouse HQ founder Minn Kim and author and Cluny Institute founder Luke Burgis will host an evening of conversation, connection, and fun over drinks and small bites.

At the heart of our age lies a question: Are we riding passively on the desires of others, or are we driving with intention toward what we truly want?

This evening will gather San Francisco’s most thoughtful builders, leaders, and seekers for a provocative encounter about the future of desire in a technological world. We’ll explore what it means to cultivate agency in an era when our choices are nudged, coded, and mimicked—when the line between freedom and manipulation is paper-thin.

Our theme also raises the question of fundamental human drives—for instance, what Freud called the “death drive”, as well as the drive toward more abundant forms of life. Are drives different than desires? We will explore this question and more.
